Who taught you how to ride a bike?
My dad. I had a child bike with training wheels, and I didn't want him to remove them because I was scared. So he just forced them a tiny bit to the sides, they just touched the ground if I was off balance. After a couple of weeks he forced them a bit more, so they touched the ground only if I was SERIOUSLY off balance. After 3 or 4 times they broke off, but up to then, I could go without them. A clever system, huh?
What do you do to ensure you get a good night's sleep?

Nothing in particular: I sleep like newborn babies. You just let me there in the dark and... bam! I'm asleep in almost 15 seconds. That means I don't go to a lot of movies, heheheh
When I see tv in bed, I sometimes miss the titles. No... ehm... not the ending ones, I mean the ones in the beginning... *blushes* *falls asleep*

I've been tagged!!! so now I have to share 5 things about me you might ignore....
1) I do not believe in family. I've seen too many people share a house and nothing more. You CHOOSE your friends, but you cannot choose your family, and I don't think that having relationships should be compulsory. For instance, I have nothing in common with my brother, he doesn't like me (and persons like me) and I feel the same the other way around. Why shoud we feel forced to see each other? You find your true family all along your life, and you can always choose. Feelings cannot be imposed, and I don't think anyone should feel guilty about this.
2) In my opinion, childhood is NOT the best part of your life. I mean, I wouldn't go back there, not even dead!!! Anyone can force you to live your life like THEY want to, you're given a name (that you might dislike), you're dressed according to your parents taste, sent to a school you did not choose, you go on holidays where OTHER PEOPLE want, you cannot choose anything. You just have to wait, and wait, and wait. And your 18th year seems to never come. And this should be happiness? Oh please.
3) I forgive too much. I forgive everyone for anything. My fuse is really too long, sometimes I SHOULD explode and I don't. The problem is I'm not only too lenient with other people, I also am with myself. I forgive myself a lot. This doesn't help with strenght of will. sigh.
4) I cannot see cooking like a chore. It's SOOOO fun :)))) So creative! For me the hardest thing of dieting is not avoiding to eat.... is avoiding to cook! I love exploring world cuisines, and I also wrote 3 cookbooks... :)
5) I usually avoid to confess it, but I'm still VERY much in love. And I've been living with the same man for 18 years. Sorry for your rising glycemia :))) but it gets better and better, in terms of confidence, intimacy, fun, will of sharing... I wouldn't trade him for a million dollars.
Ok, now go rinse your mouth or you could get cavities with all this sweetness :)))))

How do you pass the time during a flight? What do you bring in your carry-on?
I bring a book (two, if the flight is long or if I already read half of the first book), a pen (not my usual fountain pen, because it leaks on planes...), and crosswords. I usually barely notice the landing :)
What's the best thing since sliced bread?
Books. Inexpensive travel to all sorts of places and times. And portable, too!!! :)

The 1st is on my left calf, the second on my right arm. The third.... well, I don't think I can post THAT! :))
You're trapped in a (temporarily) out of order elevator - who would you like to be trapped with?
