If you could write like one fiction author, who would it be?
Submitted by Marilyn.
Naaaah.... there is ONLY ONE Stephen King *deep bow*
What is your favorite day of the week?
Monday and Saturday
Monday because is a fresh start, a new beginning. Saturday because it's a day of leisure and relax but not a bore like Sunday is. I loathe Sundays... all the shops are closed, an eerie silence, those stupid bells tolling, nowhere to go, nothing to do.... uuuuugh.
What are five things you're good at?
Submitted by HapaLove.
1) Learning languages. It's a natural gift, it just comes easy.
2) Reading in any circumstance. I can be totally absorbed in a book anywhere, on a bus, in a crowd, in a noisy environment... no need to concentrate.
3) Cooking. (the bad part is I'm good at eating, too... sigh...)
4) Making lists and databases. I'm a sort of natural archivist :))))
5) Riddles and crosswords. (totally inept at sudoku, though)
Who was your best (or worst) elementary school teacher?
Submitted by Minnow.
My elementary school teacher was a nun, sister Bianca. Some 15 years ago we organized a class reunion and went to see her. I discovered that one of my schoolfellows had told her I was dead. Bad joke, huh?
Well, after the reunion she told to another of my schoolfellows that she'd rather know me dead, because she had known on that occasion that I live with a man I'm not married with.
Nice example of christian charity, isn't it?
I don't want to see that bitch again, even if I live to be 103.
If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?
Submitted by J.T.
I don't have a think a moment to decide: I'd like to speak and understand perfectly all the languages in the world. They fascinate me SO much!!
Who or what do you really love?
First of all my partner, who was the first to really make me understand that -yes- I - could- be- loved- and -lovable. And it was hard work.
I love all cats, mine in particular, of course. My furry children.
I love my home, my den.
I love my friends: Serena, Marque, Lidia, Michele, Stefano... and all the others. You know who you are.
I love cooking, discovering new recipes, going out for dinner, tasting new flavors.
I love clothes. Possibly cheap, possibly black-or-purple-or-grey-or burgundy, possibly A LOT of them!
I love the 80's. The music, the looks, the fashion, the tv shows, the movies.... everything!!
I love reading, I love sci-fi, horror, I ADORE Stephen King, Isaac Asimov, Patricia Cornwell and many, many more
I love any kind of smoked food (except fish)
I love wall-to-wall carpet, to walk barefoot and sit on
I love makeup
I love cold and windy weather, grey skies, urban landscapes, snow.
I love taking long baths, with cigarettes, cell phone and book in a handy position
I love Irish dancing.
I hate boring people, so I better stop here. :))))
How have people mispronounced your name? How is it supposed to sound?
Submitted by Lorie.
As Sol is not a common name, some people understand Sonia O___o
Or they suppose it's short for Marisol (it's not, I'm FloraSol).
My surname is usually pronounced correctly, but in school a couple of teachers, instead of Accursio (pr. Ak-coor-see-oh) used Curcio or Curzio, that are more common.
It's out! It's new! It's great! (ok ok I calm down and explain...)
I'm talking about a new cd, "Planet in a Day"
Check this site! www.alphaterra.it
One of the two musicians involved in the project is my man, and I'm awful proud of this work!!!
You'll find samples of the songs, and if you like them, you'll also find a virtual shop... ;)
In case you're asking, YES, THIS IS A COMMERCIAL :))))))))))))))))))
What did you dream about last night?
The usual dream: a primary school (sometimes it is an underground station, but most times it's a school) which is a kind of a labyrynth (sp.?). I go upstairs, downstairs, I walk in loooooong corridors, cross many rooms, and I'm totally lost.... and I hate feeling lost, I go in total panic.
I woke up with eyes big like an owl's. O___o
Who taught you how to cook?
Submitted by Donna.
No-one, I taught myself, trying and trying. I'm absolutely unable to see cooking as a chore, it's so creative and fun! And I like to experiment, so I rarely do the same thing twice.
(I cannot cook fish: as I smell it, my stomach turns... and I'm expecially good at cakes, even if I don't eat them, I have fun in doing them and see other people appreciate them)
